Farm Gate Picnic Hampers...
A delicious, generous box of goodies homemade by Julie in Mrs Frost’s Kitchen for you to pick up at the Frost Farm gate, ready to picnic at a spot nearby or take home to enjoy in your own backyard, on the deck or even on the lounge room floor with the kids. (See below for Home delivery options)
An MFK Hamper box for $89 will feed 2 adults (with leftovers for later in the week) or a family of 4.
There are two Picnic menus to choose from: Meat-atarian and Veg-atarian but if you would like to swap some of the elements around, give Julie a call on 0414 783564 after you have made your purchase, to sort out the details.
All items are ready to eat, served cold and kept that way in your hamper box with a frozen bottle of UV-filtered rain water, perfect for drinking later.
Meat-atarian Picnic Hamper Menu
- Smoked trout yoghurt dip with fire toasted Turkish bread dippers.
- Sweet Potato, chorizo & blue cheese frittata slice.
- Grilled Port, prune & bacon balls with a side of MFK Mango Chutney.
- Roasted grape, sage & goats cheese green salad with a jar of vinaigrette.
- Home-baked Zucchini & Lime cake with cream cheese icing.
- A 270ml jar of MFK Raw Bush Honey
Veg-atarian Picnic Hamper Menu
- Hickory smoked hummus with fire toasted Turkish bread dippers.
- Deep dish Spinach & ricotta pie.
- Roasted tomato, thyme & parmesan green salad with a jar of vinaigrette.
- Home-baked sticky honey & date cake with MFK salted caramel glaze and a side of double cream.
- A 270ml jar of MFK Salted Caramel Sauce.
Here's how we are gonna do this...
Ok, the process won't be sophisticated or perfect but if you are willing to work together, fingers crossed it will all run smoothly!
As we get started, the window of opportunity for collecting your hamper at the farm gate will be Saturday and Sunday mornings between 10 and 11am. I will be waiting, literally at the farm gate at 44 Billiau Road, Guanaba. Qld. 4210 for you to drive by and pick up your pre-paid picnic order.
As we cannot currently gather in social groups beyond the members of our own private household, a limit of one hamper full of your food and any optional extras of choice, is in place.
Mrs Frost’s Kitchen operates as a Food Safety Approved commercial premise, but you'll be happy to know I have added some extra ‘fussy’ cleaning regimes, hand washing processes and glove wearing for everyone working here (not many). Drive by and Pick up at the farm gate and home delivery, will also be contactless (no hugs I’m sorry) with all financial exchange done online.
The Picnic Hamper does not contain any tools or equipment for cutting pies, drinking drinks or eating food (though if nobody is looking you could use your fingers!). You will need to supply all of these things for each of your picnickers OR you can purchase my inexpensive Eating Equipment Pack and you won't have to think about what to bring. (see optional extras for details and price)
The Home Delivery is as yet, a total experiment and may or may not even be wanted. I have engaged a local gentleman to run the deliveries with the intention of being a fully contactless process because you will have already made the necessary financial transaction online. If you would like to utilise this delivery service, I will call you directly after you have paid (see optional extras to purchase delivery) to confirm all the date, time and address details. Deliveries will only be available Saturday & Sundays between 9am and 11am. (Much the same window as the farm gate pick ups)
Social Distancing. We absolutely do not encourage having your picnic with anybody other than your immediate family/household members or within 30m of another group outdoors. We will only allow VERY limited picnic groups into our farm paddock, at our discretion and by prior arrangement only. All this could change at any moment so I hope you understand.

Some years ago, when I married Mr Frost and became Mrs Frost, I set to imagining-up this thing called 'Mrs Frost’s Kitchen' because I wanted to give others a place to experience the amazingness of our world through delicious food and learning and laughing, just as I have had all my life.
